Overview
We produced a series of training videos for Deaf Connect, Australia’s largest whole-of-life service provider for the Deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing community. These videos were designed to deliver important information in a clear and accessible format, supporting education, awareness and inclusion.
Approach to Accessibility
Creating content for the Deaf community requires more than just filming. It means thinking about accessibility from the very beginning. These videos featured Auslan presenters delivering key information directly to camera, supported by thoughtful visuals, text overlays and clean editing to maintain clarity throughout.
We worked closely with Deaf Connect to ensure the pace, structure and tone of each video met the community’s needs. The filming process was guided by a deep respect for cultural and linguistic identity, with a focus on clear communication.
Outcome
The completed video series now forms part of Deaf Connect’s digital resources, helping make vital training content available in an accessible and engaging way. It is a strong example of how inclusive video production can support better outcomes for everyone.
